The People Behind Chitan
"It started with a question I couldn't stop asking: why is no one making cookware that's actually safe?
I (Nathan) spent years cooking for my family with pans I never thought to question — until I discovered what was in them. PFAS, microplastics, coatings that break down into your food. I couldn't unsee it.
So I set out to build something better. Pure titanium. No coatings. No chemicals. No compromises. But I needed someone who could push it to its limits — someone who knew what real kitchen heat does to a pan.
That's when I found James. Twenty years in professional kitchens, hundreds of pans destroyed, and the same frustration I had. I handed him our first prototype. A week later, he called me back and said: 'I'm in.'
Together, we built Chitan — cookware we're both proud to stand behind. Nathan as the father who needed it. James as the chef who proved it."
